Watch History
Offered here is my 1974 Omega Genève 136.0102, a piece from a pivotal era when Omega was balancing traditional watchmaking with the emerging pressures of the Quartz Crisis. Powered by the manual-wind calibre 1030, it represents one of Omega’s final generations of in-house mechanical movements before quartz technology reshaped the industry. The Genève line itself was originally introduced to celebrate Omega’s success in observatory chronometer trials, later evolving into a diverse and accessible range that still retained strong technical pedigree. With its classic 36mm proportions, date function, and authentic 1970s design language, this watch offers not just vintage style, but a genuine snapshot of a transformative moment in horological history.
