The Tissot 500 Anos Brasil is a highly collectible limited-edition timepiece created to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Brazil’s discovery in 2000. Limited to just 2,000 pieces worldwide, the entire edition was produced exclusively for the Brazilian market and distributed through official retailers and anniversary partners, with many examples acquired by local collectors and figures connected to the celebrations. As a result, very few pieces ever left South America, making this model exceptionally rare to find in the UK. Offered by Totus Timepieces, this watch represents a scarce opportunity to acquire a historically significant and difficult-to-source Tissot.

Condition

Crystal: The acrylic crystal is in excellent condition with no scratches across the face of the watch ensuring excellent clairty on the watch face.
Case: The stainless steel case is in excellent condition for its age and features a polished bezel, brushed case edges and a diagram on the case-back displaying a historic ship between Portugal and Brazil. There are a few small scratches around the case but its very presentable, we chose not to polish the case-back to preserve the lettering.
Movement: The watch is powered by a Valjoux 7760 manual wind day-date chronograph movement which is running very well and fully functional. The 7760 is a variation of the infamous 7750 movement which can be found in similar brands such as Brietling at the time but was simplified to ensure reliability.
Dial/Hands: The watch features a crisp black dial paired with silver indices which is in immaculate condition. Alongside this the watch makes use of polished silver hands which match the dial and are in nice condition with only light marks.
Bracelet: The watch has been placed on a new black leather strap which complements the black and silver theme of the watch.

The buyer is responsible for booking return postage and ensuring its safe arrival back to the seller, we recommend a tracked and insured courier.
