Condition Report
Crystal
The watch contains its original genuine Omega acrylic crystal which has been given a light polish to remove the majority of the deeper marks, presenting the dial nicely.
Case
The 20-microns gold-plated case shows some signs of wear in line with its age with fading on the lugs ends and some pitting near the case-back. It still appears very presentable on the wrist offering rich gold-tone matching that of the hands and dial. The case-back still contains a nice brushed finish and is signed on the inside.
Dial & Hands
The gold sunburst dial is in excellent condition with almost no sign of wear, the gold polished hands are in equally nice condition with a few very small marks.
Movement
The Calibre 552 Automatic movement is running well with all functionality tested and confirmed to be working, the watch was also holding good time for its age when placed on a time-grapher.
Strap
The watch has just been placed on a new brown leather strap with a corresponding gold-plated buckle.
Water Resistance
As is the case with all vintage timepieces, the gaskets and seals responsible for maintaining water resistance degrade naturally over time and cannot be relied upon to perform to their original specification. Accordingly, no representation or guarantee is made as to the water tightness of this or any watch we sell, irrespective of its original manufacturer rating. We strongly advise against exposing the piece to water, humidity or steam ? including showering, swimming, and humid environments ? in order to protect the movement and dial. Please note that damage or loss resulting from water ingress falls outside the scope of our returns policy below and cannot be accepted as grounds for return.
Returns
Returns are accepted within 14 days of receiving the watch, subject to the watch being in exactly the same condition with all posted accessories present. The buyer is responsible for booking return postage and ensuring its safe arrival back to the seller ? we recommend a tracked and insured courier. This policy does not apply if the watch and/or accessories have incurred any water damage, odours, marks or scratching.
International Buyers
International buyers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, and handling fees levied by their country's authorities upon arrival. These charges are determined by the destination country and are entirely outside of our control; please check with your local customs office prior to purchase if you are unsure of the costs that may apply.
